Literacy
When we think of literacy we tend to think of reading, writing, spelling, grammar, or numeracy. Literacy includes these things but is also a broad concept encompassing much more. It is the ability to use an ever changing set of tools in situations we experience. Literacy gives us access to opportunities, challenges, and enjoyment in our society.
Science
Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe
Writing
Writing is a medium of human communication that represents language and emotion with signs and symbols. In most languages, writing is a complement to speech or spoken language. Writing is not a language, but a tool used to make languages be read.
Geography
The study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources and political and economic activities.
Mathematics
Mathematics is the science that deals with the logic of shape, quantity and arrangement. Math is all around us, in everything we do. It is the building block for everything in our daily lives, including mobile devices, architecture (ancient and modern), art, money, engineering, and even sports.
Physical Education
Physical education is the teaching and leading of physical activity in a school gymnasium or other school setting. Its goal is to improve and maintain students' current health and set them on a path to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout their lives.
